Does it post directly to LinkedIn or use a workaround?
It uses LinkedIn's official OAuth 2.0 and UGC Posts API with w_member_social scope. Your posts publish directly to your LinkedIn profile through the official API. No browser automation, no third-party workarounds.
How long does the LinkedIn access token last?
LinkedIn access tokens last 60 days. After that you'll need to reconnect your account at /accounts — takes about 10 seconds. We'll add a reminder notification before your token expires.
Can I schedule posts for a LinkedIn Company Page?
Currently SocialMate schedules to personal LinkedIn profiles using the w_member_social scope. Company Page posting (r/w_organization_social) requires separate LinkedIn API approval and is on our roadmap.
What's the character limit for LinkedIn posts?
LinkedIn allows up to 3,000 characters per post. SocialMate enforces this limit in the compose window and shows you a character counter so you never get cut off.
Can I post images or videos to LinkedIn through SocialMate?
Text posts are fully supported now. Image and video attachments to LinkedIn are on the roadmap — the API supports them and we're building the upload flow.
