What Is SOMA?

SOMA is SocialMate's AI content system. It reads your brand documents, understands your voice, and generates platform-native social media posts automatically — without you having to write individual captions.

It's not a caption generator where you manually input ideas one at a time. SOMA operates at a higher level: give it context about who you are and what you do, and it produces an entire week of content ready for review.

How SOMA Actually Works

Step 1: Identity Setup

You complete a SOMA identity interview — questions about your niche, audience, tone, vocabulary, what you'd never say, what you want to be known for. This builds your identity profile.

Step 2: Voice DNA

SOMA's Voice DNA Builder is a 40-question interview (available in three tiers: Foundation, Deep Dive, Advanced) that captures the nuances of your writing style. The answers are synthesized by AI into a personality summary that's injected into every content prompt.

Step 3: Project Setup

You create SOMA Projects for your main content areas. A project might be "SocialMate product updates" or "creator economy insights" or "indie maker journey." Each project has:

Step 4: Document Ingest

You upload context documents to your project — your product documentation, CLAUDE.md-style notes, weekly update notes, or any other context about what's happening in your world. SOMA reads these documents and uses them as the basis for content generation.

On re-ingest, SOMA diffs your new document against the previous one and generates content specifically about what's changed — not a rehash of everything.

Step 5: Generation

Hit generate. SOMA produces platform-native posts for each connected platform:

Step 6: Review Queue

Generated posts go into your SOMA review queue. You can approve, edit, or skip each one. Approved posts go directly to your content calendar. The review takes 15-20 minutes per week.

SOMA Memory

Each SOMA Project has a Project Memory — a rolling log of topics covered, angles used, and manager notes. Before each generation, SOMA reads the memory and avoids repeating topics it's already covered.

SOMA Modes

**Safe Mode** — generates posts and puts them in review queue. You approve before anything gets scheduled.

**Autopilot Mode** ($10/month) — generated posts are automatically scheduled without requiring your approval. You can still review and delete, but nothing is blocked.

**Full Send Mode** ($20/month) — Autopilot plus higher daily post volumes and priority generation.

The Voice DNA Feedback Loop

After each generation run, SOMA can collect voice feedback — questions like "Did this sound like you?", "What would you change?", "More or less of what?"

The responses are processed by AI, which updates the Voice DNA summary. SOMA gets better at matching your voice with every generation cycle.
