How to Schedule All Your Podcast Promotion in One Sitting

📅 May 21, 20261 min read

The biggest unlock for podcast growth isn't posting more — it's posting more consistently. And consistency isn't a willpower problem. It's a systems problem. Here's how to batch your entire promotion workflow in one sitting per episode.

The One-Sitting Method

When your episode publishes (or the day before), block 45–60 minutes on your calendar. This is your promotion session. Here's what you do in that session:

Step 1: Extract (10 minutes)

Read or skim your show notes. Pull out 5–7 moments: quotes, frameworks, insights, hot takes, data points. Just list them as bullet points.

Step 2: Write (20 minutes)

Turn each bullet point into a social post. For each one:

  • Write a 280-character version (X/Bluesky)
  • Expand to a 2–3 sentence version (LinkedIn/Mastodon)
  • Write a Discord/Telegram-style one-liner update
  • If you use AI (SocialMate's caption generator or SOMA), this step takes 5 minutes instead of 20.

    Step 3: Schedule (10 minutes)

Open your scheduler. Create your episode announcement post first — schedule to all platforms for launch day. Then schedule your follow-up content across the next 7 days.

Spread the posts out: Day 1 launch announcement, Day 2 key insight, Day 4 guest quote, Day 5 discussion question, Day 7 evergreen post pointing back to the episode.

Step 4: Set and Forget (5 minutes)

Review the schedule in your calendar view. Make sure nothing is double-scheduled or missing. Hit publish. Close the laptop.

You're done until next week. Your promotion will run automatically while you focus on recording your next episode.
